Meet The Team

The practice is staffed by three permanent veterinary surgeons and one regular locum, with thirteen support staff and regular visiting specialists. Briar Dawn staff are all highly qualified, well-trained, open, friendly and helpful. Practice Manager, Michaela Paga; two of our veterinary surgeons, Jocelyn Owens and Rebecca Muwanga and our Head Nurse, Jacqui Ashworth, have been nominated for prestigious national awards on numerous occasions – recognition for their consistently good work. The practice itself has been nominated on three occasions for Veterinary Practice of the Year, most recently in 2018.

Hello! After graduating this year (2017) from Nottingham Vet School, I am thrilled to be joining the brilliant team at Briar Dawn.

I come from a rural part of Mid Devon (don’t worry, my accent is still understandable!) where I picked up my hobbies of road cycling, exploring, playing music and, most of all, playing and coaching rugby. Along with the excitement of getting to keep your companions healthy, I really look forward to getting to know and develop great relationships with you all.

While I enjoy all areas of companion animal work, I particularly have interests in the areas of ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and ultrasonographic imaging. I aim to develop these areas of interest as well as discover new ones. I hope to meet and greet you in the consult room soon!
